Fatherhood is one of the things that truly defines me as a human. It is up there with an appreciation for travel and cultures. I have two daughters, and helping them (read: watching them) discover themselves is one of my great joys. It’s not always pretty, it is often challenging, but it is always rewarding. Much like the idea of traveling with family.

I truly believe that travel is of the most important, impactful gifts you can give to your family. For starters, experiences offer a greater level of happiness than material things. More than that, there is something unique to family travel at a young age, that I feel helps us develop and find ourselves with greater ease. At the very least, family travel forever etches memories in our brains on conscious and subconscious levels. There is a reason that so much of our consumable content is about shipping the entire Bunch of to Hawai’i for surf and sun, or packing the entire clan in the metallic pea family truckster, for a cross country road trip to Wally World. Those stories are widely relatable.
No doubt, if you are reading this, you have some picture of what “traveling with family” means to you, whatever the scale of the venture.
